Pinealon: Research Profile, Dosages & Supplier Prices

Bioregulator research · Lyophilized powder · Also known as: EDR peptide, Glu-Asp-Arg

Pinealon is a bioregulator research compound with a molecular weight of 418.4 g/mol and a research half-life of short (minutes-hours). Pinealon is a synthetic tripeptide (Glu-Asp-Arg) from the Russian 'cytogen' class of peptide bioregulators developed at the St. Petersburg Institute of Bioregulation and Gerontology. These ultrashort peptides are proposed to regulate gene expression by interacting directly with DNA and histone proteins in a sequence-specific manner.

What is Pinealon?

Pinealon specifically is studied for neuroprotective and geroprotective effects: animal and cell studies report reduced oxidative stress in neurons, modulation of cell-cycle and apoptosis genes, and improved behavioral outcomes in aging and brain-injury models. The bioregulator class sits outside mainstream Western pharmacology - mechanisms remain hypotheses rather than established pathways - but the peptides are inexpensive, stable, and widely researched in Eastern European gerontology literature.

Mechanism of Action (Research Context)

Proposed epigenetic bioregulation: ultrashort peptides are hypothesized to penetrate cells and interact sequence-specifically with DNA promoter regions and histones, modulating transcription of genes involved in antioxidant defense, cell cycle and apoptosis. Reported to reduce ROS accumulation in neuronal cultures.

Pinealon FAQ

It is a 'cytogen' - a synthetic ultrashort peptide bioregulator from the St. Petersburg Institute research program, designed to match natural peptide regulators of gene expression.
Neuroprotection and aging: reduced neuronal oxidative stress, modulation of apoptosis-related genes, and improved outcomes in animal aging and brain-injury models.
The DNA/histone interaction model is supported by Russian research literature but remains a hypothesis in mainstream pharmacology. Treat mechanistic claims as investigational.
