NAD+: Research Profile, Dosages & Supplier Prices

Cofactor / longevity research · Lyophilized vial · Also known as: Nicotinamide adenine dinucleotide, NAD plus

NAD+ is a cofactor / longevity research compound with a molecular weight of 663.4 g/mol and a research half-life of short plasma half-life; intracellular turnover studied in hours. NAD+ is a coenzyme (technically a dinucleotide, not a peptide) central to cellular energy metabolism and sirtuin signaling. It is sold by many peptide suppliers because of overlapping research demand in longevity science.

What is NAD+?

Published research covers age-related NAD+ decline, sirtuin and PARP pathway studies, and mitochondrial function models. Most human research has focused on precursors (NMN, NR) because of NAD+ bioavailability questions, but direct NAD+ administration is studied in research settings.

Quality note: NAD+ is heat and pH sensitive. Proper cold-chain handling and recent synthesis dates matter more than for stable peptides.

Mechanism of Action (Research Context)

Essential redox cofactor and substrate for sirtuins, PARPs, and CD38 - studied for cellular energy metabolism and DNA repair signaling.

Storage & Handling

Lyophilized: -20C, protect from light and moisture. Reconstituted: 2-8C, use promptly - NAD+ degrades faster than typical peptides.

NAD+ FAQ

No - NAD+ is a dinucleotide coenzyme. It is sold by peptide suppliers because research demand overlaps, but it is chemically distinct and less stable than most peptides.
